Tab Space is the browser companion for the Tab Space app on macOS. It saves the tabs you choose into named sessions owned by the app, and restores those sessions back into your browser. This is the development build of Tab Space, used for testing before a public release. It requires the Tab Space app to be installed and running on the same computer; on its own the extension has nothing to save into. WHAT IT DOES Save tabs • Click the toolbar button to see the tabs of the current window. All eligible tabs are selected by default, so a single click saves the whole window. • Open "Choose Tabs" if you want to pick individual tabs instead. • "Save current tab" saves only the tab you are looking at. • Choose the destination in one menu: create a new session, or append the tabs to a session you already have. Sessions in the Trash are never offered and are rejected by the app if requested. • Optionally close the saved tabs afterwards, or jump straight to the Tab Space Dashboard. Tabs are only closed after the app confirms that the session has actually been written to disk — nothing is closed on an unconfirmed save. Restore tabs • Open a saved session from the Tab Space Dashboard and the extension reopens its tabs in the browser where you asked for them. Keyboard shortcuts • Save the current tab: Ctrl+Shift+S • Open Tab Space: Ctrl+Shift+T Both can be changed on the browser's extension shortcuts page. Fits the browser • The toolbar icon follows the light and dark theme of your browser automatically. HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED • Sessions live in the Tab Space app on your own computer. The extension does not keep its own copy of your session database. • When you save, the extension sends only the title and URL of the tabs you selected, and only to the Tab Space app on the same machine, over an authenticated local (loopback) connection. Nothing is sent to any remote server, and nothing is synced by the extension. • The extension never reads or modifies the content of the pages you visit. The only page it interacts with is the Tab Space Dashboard, where it relays messages between the page and the app. • The first connection has to be approved once in the Tab Space app. After that the extension stores only a random client ID, that approval token, and your popup preferences. GETTING STARTED 1. Install and open the Tab Space app on your Mac. 2. Install this extension and click the toolbar button. 3. Approve the pairing request in the Tab Space app. 4.
