OPEN AND COMPARE DICOM STUDIES Open DICOM files, folders, ZIP archives and DICOMDIR CD/DVD media. Choose OmniDICOM in File Explorer’s Open with menu for .dcm and .dicom files. Browse series thumbnails, arrange side-by-side panels and synchronize scrolling, zoom, pan and window settings. Adjust window/level, use presets, rotate or flip images and switch to full-screen viewing. IMAGES FOR POWERPOINT SLIDES Copy Image (Ctrl+C) puts the active panel on the clipboard as a high-resolution picture; Copy Layout (Shift+C) copies every visible panel as one picture, ready to paste into PowerPoint slides or any other app that accepts pictures. Copy Options sets the corner text, the panel labels and their style, position, size and colour, the lines between panels and the picture size. Copying is in every plan; trial and unlicensed copies carry a watermark on a strip added below the picture, never over the image. MPR AND 3D VOLUME RENDERING See axial, coronal and sagittal planes alongside a 3D volume in the MPR 2x2 layout. Linked crosshairs locate the same point across the planes. Explore oblique views, slab projections and rendering presets. Use the 3D scalpel to cut inside or outside a selection, undo or redo cuts, or restore the volume. Export 3D snapshots, rotation movies and STL surface models; STL export requires a paid licence. EDIT DICOM METADATA Search tags by name or value and inspect Tag, Name and Value together. Double-click supported values and explicitly save edits across the series. Save Changes writes to the target DICOM files, so work on a copy when you need to preserve the originals. Metadata edits do not rewrite the source pixel data; nested sequences and unsupported value types remain read-only. CINE, ANGIOGRAPHY AND DSA Play multi-frame DICOM cine, including coronary angiography and ultrasound. Play, pause, step through frames and adjust playback speed with the on-image controls; use the mouse wheel to move through a run. Compare loaded runs side by side. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is included in Basic. Select or reset a mask frame and use manual or automatic pixel shift, split masks and Magic Mask registration. DE-IDENTIFY COPIES AND EXPORT NIfTI Create de-identified copies from the Local archive using the DICOM PS3.15 Basic Profile and new UIDs. Choose how dates and descriptions are handled while leaving the originals untouched. Text burned into image pixels is not removed; review the images before sharing. De-identify is available in Basic, Professional and the trial. Export a supported series as a compressed NIfTI volume (.nii.gz), preserving its position, orientation and original values, including HU for CT. NIfTI export is available in Basic, Professional and the trial. MEASURE, ANNOTATE AND EXPLORE FUSION Measure distances, angles and regions; inspect ROI statistics and use manual calibration when needed. Number measurements and arrows, customize arrow colour, width and head size, add text and manage annotation styles, and inspect CT HU or supported PET SUV values when the required data are present. Text annotations appear in exported pictures. Series comments stay on this computer. Overlay compatible series such as PET/CT with colour maps and adjustable opacity. PROFESSIONAL: DENOISE Reduce noise in CT and MR series and X-ray images (CR, DX, DR and RG) on your own computer. Denoise does not upload images or change the source DICOM files. Turn it off to compare with the original and save the setting for the series on this computer. Denoise is included in Professional and the 14-day trial. In the 2D view, measurements and supported exports use the denoised image; MPR, 3D, time-intensity curves and slice projections use the original pixels. Mammography and other unsupported modalities are excluded. PROFESSIONAL: PROCESS AND ANALYZE Build ordered chains of up to eight image filters, enter parameter values and reuse saved presets. Filters include sharpening, smoothing, local contrast, background subtraction, structure enhancement, gamma, threshold and morphology. Apply previews a result; Save & Apply keeps the processing settings for the series. Processing preserves source files, and processed copies can be exported explicitly. Analyze includes ROI statistics, histograms, intensity and Z profiles, time-intensity curves (TIC), slice projections, particle measurements, the ROI manager and image arithmetic. Copy supported plots or results and export Excel workbooks or CSV data. ROI Manager can show the current series or all open series and navigate back to the measured image. Available tools depend on the images and selected region. ORGANIZE, CONNECT AND EXPORT Import, search and organize studies in the Local archive. Remove a series from the viewer list or explicitly choose file deletion. Connect to compatible PACS and DICOMweb servers to search, retrieve and send studies; receive pushed studies when the listener is enabled. Export pictures as PNG, JPEG or BMP, cine movies including MP4, and original or supported processed DICOM copies. The Export button opens Export Images; its separate arrow opens the copy/export menu. Processed DICOM exports create a new series. Derived MPR, fusion and TIC views can be exported as pictures or movies, not as DICOM reconstructions. TRIAL AND PLANS The free download starts a 14-day Professional trial on the first internet-connected launch. No payment card is needed to start the trial. After it ends, unlicensed viewing is limited to five-minute sessions and Professional tools are locked. Trial and unlicensed picture/movie exports, clipboard copies and processed DICOM copies carry a watermark. STL export needs a paid Basic or Professional licence. NIfTI export and De-identify require an active trial or paid licence. Saved Denoise and Process settings are applied only while Professional or the trial is active.
