PDFree is a simple desktop app for Windows that helps you inspect PDF permissions and remove owner restrictions from files you are legally allowed to modify. With PDFree, you can: Open a PDF and quickly view its current restriction status Check whether printing, copying, editing, annotations, or form operations are restricted Remove owner-level restrictions from eligible PDFs Save an unrestricted copy for normal editing workflows Built for local, private processing PDFree processes files on your device. Your PDF content and passwords are not uploaded by the app. Important notice PDFree is intended for legitimate use only. Use it only with documents you own or are explicitly authorized to access and modify. Password note If a file requires an open password, enter it in the app. PDFree includes limited, time-bounded weak-password attempts for convenience, but strong passwords must be provided by the authorized user.
