Setting the playback rate is the easy part, and every speed controller does it. The problem is that some training platforms read the rate back every few seconds and reload the page if it is above 2x — which puts you at the start of the module again. Re-applying the speed does not help, because the value you set is the value the next check reads. Play Faster changes what the check reads instead. On the training sites it recognises, that check reads 2x while your audio plays at the speed you chose — so that reload is not triggered and you keep your place.
